It's that time of year again where we roll up our sleeves and get ready to support the public schools in our community.
New York Cares Day for Schools is supporting 15 schools this year and projects vary from painting, gardening, and maybe even build some (Ikea) furniture.
Our Club is looking to volunteer at PS 196 - The Williamsburg Bridge Magnet School.
In order for us to be on the same school team, everyone needs to sign up individually for the same school site.

Sign up as here soon as possible in order to be on the same school team at PS 196 K in East Williamsburg,
www.newyorkcares.org/new-york-cares-day/school-profile/ps-196-k

We look forward to another great NY Cares Day - let's brighten up our schools together!

Do you know that the largest Rotary Logo in the world rests in Lamon Bay, Atimonan, Quezon, Philippines?

The project was a combined effort of Rotarians and fishermen in creating an artificial reef to protect and help grow the fishing industry.

This is certainly an interesting way in thinking outside the box to promote Rotary don't you think?

Join the " We Are Rotary: Advancing Women as Leaders" webinar on Wed, Aug 28, 2019 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM EDT

Currently, women make up 23 percent of our membership, and represent, on an average, 20 percent of leadership positions. Rotarians are ready to embrace change, as indicated by the record number of breakout sessions at the 2019 Rotary International Convention in Hamburg dedicated to the topic of women’s advancement in Rotary’s leadership. During one of these sessions, Rotarians Beth Keck and Todd Jenkins collected ideas from more than 500 members, both female and male, about how to take action and break down the barriers to women’s advancement in leadership positions. Hear the proposals and add your voice to this critical conversation.

During this webinar, we will:

• Explore the barriers that women face when considering leadership positions
• Challenge the institutional and personal viewpoints that may be limiting women’s advancement
• Discuss the benefits—and necessity-- of Rotary being a diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization
• Develop specific actions to take in your clubs and communities

Everyone who registers will receive access to the recording and slide
