So great to see the Rotary Metro NYC label on sewing machines for the women in India empowered and educated by #NomiNetwork!
And a big shout out to Rotarians Nadine and Bharat for organizing the Bollywood event that made this possible.

Rotary International Turns 114 years of service Rotary emerges on the night of February 23, 1905 in Chicago from the hand of four men who exercise different professions and led by one of them, Paul Harris, open a story of friendship and service. Rotary began to exist without preanuncios, did not have new truths to teach or prophets to claim them, no vision to reveal, they simply intended to promote understanding and good will to serve. Over the years, rotary becomes a world network composed of 1.200.000 friends, leaders and people dedicated to service, who see a planet in which people join and take action to generate lasting change in the world, Their communities and themselves. Rotary is the road map that we have drawn to continue being a dynamic organization that enjoys the respect of the communities that we benefit worldwide. As Rotary partners we assume the responsibility to take action, in order to address the most pernicious problems affecting humanity. United with our 35.000 clubs around the world: we promote peace, fight diseases, provide access to safe water, sanitation and promote good hygiene habits. In addition, we protect mothers and children, promote education, develop local economies, connect committed people and with various perspectives to exchange ideas, forge lasting friendships and, above all, take action to change the world. We put our leadership and professional experience at the service of others to solve the social problems affecting our communities. With our passion and perseverance we try to generate permanent change.

👏🏻👏🏻. Kudos to Mr. Paul Harris for establishing Rotary International and great work by all members of the International Community in serving selflessly

Change is coming! While there have been a few women RI Directors in the past, next term (2020-21) there will be five.
How do we get more women in leadership? Promote it at the club and district level! Hats off today to our Metro NYC President Genevieve Pritchard - hoping we see her up on the director list someday!
